EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 Review: A Portable Power Station for Camping and Backup
A 2,016Wh portable power station with six AC outlets, 100W USB-C, and expandable battery capacity, put to work at the campsite and under the RV.
Introduction
EcoFlow makes a wide range of power products: whole-home power kits, small portable units for day trips, the Delta series of serious high-capacity power stations, plus portable and mountable solar panels. In this review we look at the Delta Max 2000, one of two Delta Max sizes alongside the 1600, after putting it to work powering campsite cooking and a portable fridge in the desert outside Las Vegas.
What the Delta Max 2000 Can Do
Out of the box, the Delta Max 2000 is built for exactly the kind of outing where you want cold drinks, a working fridge, and a hot plate running at the same time. On a hot desert weekend, it powered cooking gear, a fridge, and everything else on the table without breaking a sweat. EcoFlow also positions this unit for RV owners, particularly boondocking and off-grid camping, with the claim that it can run an entire rig for about a week on battery alone.

Beyond camping, EcoFlow sells a whole-home battery backup kit that lets the Delta Max switch over as home backup power, and the company offers a range of larger whole-home kits and smaller day-trip units depending on your needs.
Ports, Output, and Capacity
The Delta Max 2000 has a 2,016Wh capacity and six AC outlets with 2,400W of continuous output and up to 5,000W surge. That surge headroom means it can handle tools and appliances that spike on startup.

On the charging side, you get two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports that output up to 100W, enough to run laptops directly. There is also a 12V DC car output, which is what we used to run the portable fridge. The unit supports Wi-Fi connection and weighs about 48 pounds. Battery life is rated at 800 cycles to 80% capacity.
Expandability
Two ports on the side of the unit let you connect additional batteries, which is where the Delta Max starts to look genuinely serious. If your power needs grow from a weekend fridge into multi-day RV living, the expansion route is already built in.
Real-World Performance
The standout anecdote: after a trip, food was left in the fridge, so it was placed under the RV along with the Delta Max and left running. It powered the fridge for a full week and still had 17% charge left. That is a lot of stored energy working quietly in the background.

Across multiple outings, including desert campfire cooking with steaks over the fire while the Delta Max kept drinks and food cold, it has been dependable. It simply removes the rough edges from outdoor trips.
Buying Advice
EcoFlow lists the Delta Max 2000 on its own website for $1,900, with an option to add the whole-home battery backup kit with a transfer switch for around $1,700 on top. On Amazon, it has been on sale for $1,400, which is unusually aggressive for this category; comparable units typically sit at $1,600 or more. If you can catch the sale price, the value is hard to beat.

If you spend a lot of time in the desert or off-grid, it is also worth noting that EcoFlow makes a portable AC unit, sold either alone, with a built-in battery, or as a combo kit.
Conclusion
The EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 delivers serious capacity, flexible charging, and expandability in a 48-pound package that has proven itself at the campsite, under an RV, and everywhere in between. At its sale price it is one of the most compelling portable power stations available.
