Eufy E35 Review: A Robot Vacuum and Mop That Actually Does Both

One week with the Eufy E35, a vacuum and mop robot with 35 kPa suction, hot-water mop cleaning, and a base station that handles the dirty work for you.

Introduction

Robot vacuums were the one category of home robotics I had never actually lived with, so when the Eufy E35 arrived, it went straight into a real house rather than a lab bench. This is a newly released vacuum and mop combo, and the pitch is simple: it vacuums, then mops with clean water, and then empties and cleans itself back at the base station, ready to do it all again. After a full week of daily use, it did exactly what it promised, which is rarer than it should be.

Setup: Refreshingly Quick

The E35 is smaller but heavier than expected, and you can feel the mechanics packed into both the robot and the base station. Setup involves clipping on a ramp, leaving half a metre of clearance all the way around, filling the water reservoir and a second liquid reservoir, and docking the unit. From there, it connects to the standard Eufy app, the same one that controls the brand’s security cameras.

The first task is mapping. The robot drives around the house scanning every room and corner with cameras and lasers, gradually building a clearer digital model in the app. Once finished, it automatically splits the space into rooms that you can name, and you confirm the floor coverings for each.

Vacuum Performance: Methodical and Powerful

In the kitchen, the E35 took a genuinely methodical approach, covering the entire area and impressively navigating around chairs and a table without trouble. On carpet in the living room, it left satisfying lawn-type stripes. It returns to the base station automatically to discharge what it has collected.

The real test was a workshop-floor mess of sawdust, mud, and general debris spread across the floor. The claimed 35 kilopascals of suction, combined with the side brushes, cleaned everything right up to the edges. The first pass picked up roughly 95 to 98 percent of the dust, and a second pass cleared the rest, including corners.

Via the app, you can send it to clean a single room, multiple rooms, a specific area, or schedule cleaning for any time of day, including overnight.

Mopping: The Standout Feature

The mop function is where the E35 earns its keep. In the app you choose which rooms get mopped, how much water to use, and whether it does a single or double pass. Most cleverly, you can mark mats and carpet areas so the robot vacuums those and skips mopping entirely.

While mopping, the roller is fed clean water and pressed downwards onto the floor with 1.6 kg of force. When it finishes, the robot returns to the base station, washes the mop in 60-degree hot water, dries it in 55-degree hot air, empties its dustbin, and refills its water tank.

The kitchen test was a good splattering of tomato ketchup. The first pass picked up most of it, and the second pass in the opposite direction got everything that remained. For a household with small children crawling on the floor, this kind of hands-off vacuuming and mopping would run non-stop.

Maintenance and Running Costs

Flipping the unit over makes the mop roller pop up automatically, so it is easy to remove for cleaning or replacement. Replacement parts are readily available online, which matters because wear items eventually need renewing.

The bristle rollers are angled to stop hair building up from humans or pets, and they pull out easily. A thoughtful touch: the waste bag in the base station has a small closing window to keep dust contained when you swap it out.

On price, the E35 sits at just over £1,000, which is competitive for this level of functionality. There is currently a creator exclusive price of £849, a meaningful saving off the standard price if it is available when you buy.

Buying Advice

If you have a mix of hard floors and carpet, the carpet-awareness feature alone makes this easy to recommend. Buy it if you want a genuinely hands-off cleaner; look elsewhere only if you want a bare-bones vacuum without mopping, in which case cheaper options exist.

Conclusion

After a week of daily use, the Eufy E35 has earned its place in the house. Complete two-directional floor coverage, powerful edge-to-edge suction, and a self-cleaning mop station that washes and dries with hot water and hot air add up to a machine that does what it says it will. It is an easy recommendation at the discounted price.
