It is lighter, more aggressive and generally the faster shoe, especially at shorter distances, and it fixes the heel rubbing problem. The downsides are lower stability and a less accommodating fit. One honest caveat: if you love the V4, do not automatically upgrade, because the feel is quite different. And if you are shopping purely for a sleek, lightweight, propulsive racer, some rival brands offer alternatives of that type that are arguably stronger.
