Walmart Outdoor Power Equipment Clearance Deals: Mowers, Trimmers, and More Worth a Look

End-of-season clearance has pushed mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools down to some of the lowest prices we have seen, with many kits close to half off.

Introduction

End of summer means one thing at big-box retailers: outdoor power equipment has to go to make room for fall and holiday stock. That creates a short window where mowers, trimmers, blowers, and even robot mowers get marked down aggressively, often close to or beyond 50 percent off. We rounded up the strongest clearance pricing across gas and battery-powered lines from Hart, Senix, Greenworks, PowerSmart, and Red Key.

One practical tip: much of this stock lives online. Even if your local store shows availability, ordering for pickup or shipping is usually the safer play, since in-store clearance stock moves fast and can be unpredictable.

In-Store Finds: Hart 40V Mower and HyperTuff Gas Mower

Two deals turned up locally that are worth checking for. First, the Hart 40V mower as a full kit for $149, a genuinely low entry point into a cordless mower system. Second, a 20-inch HyperTuff gas mower for $150.

Keep in mind these store-level finds vary by location, since managers mark down whatever they need to clear to make floor space.

In-Store Finds: HyperTuff 20-Inch Gas Mower

The HyperTuff 20-inch gas mower at $150 is the other local standout. For anyone who prefers gas without wanting to spend much, a 20-inch deck at this price covers small to mid-size yards without fuss.

As with the Hart kit, availability is store-by-store, so treat it as a scavenger hunt rather than a guarantee.

Gas Mowers on Clearance

The Senix 144cc 4-cycle side-discharge mower dropped $50 from $240 to $189. It is a straightforward walk-behind for smaller yards, and the 4-cycle engine means no fuel mixing.

The big Senix is the headline gas deal: a 22-inch blade on a 23-inch deck with a 163cc 4-cycle Briggs and Stratton engine made in the USA, 3-in-1 functionality, six-position height adjustment, 11-inch rear wheels, and self-propelled drive. It is normally $700 and is down to $379, a $320 discount that approaches half off.

PowerSmart covers the budget end. The 21-inch 140cc 2-in-1 walk-behind side-discharge mower is normally $369 and comes in at $200, a $170 saving. It is a no-frills mower, but at this price that is the point.

Its bigger brother, the 170cc 21-inch self-propelled, drops $121 to about $318. If you want self-propelled assist on a budget, this is the cheaper way to get it.

Electric Mowers on Clearance

Back to Senix on the electric side: a 40V 16-inch mower that runs on two 20V batteries. The full kit includes both batteries and a dual charger. At $87.79, with a claimed saving of $162, it is one of the cheapest complete cordless mower kits around, though the 16-inch deck is on the smaller side.

The Greenworks 40V 21-inch push mower with a 5Ah battery and charger drops $126, from $324 to $198. That is a solid price for a full-size cordless push mower with a respectable battery.

The Greenworks 80V Gen 2 21-inch push mower with a 5Ah battery is down $82 to $467. It is the smallest discount here, but Gen 2 stock on sale could drop further later in the season.

Then there is the Greenworks 60V self-propelled, a 25-inch dual-blade deck with two 4Ah batteries and a dual-port charger. It is $200 off at $550. For anyone building out the 60V line, this is the mower to watch.

String Trimmers on Clearance

The PowerSmart 25.4cc 2-cycle straight-shaft gas string trimmer is $118, $81 off. The straight shaft and gas power make it the better pick for tough edges and heavier grass.

The Greenworks 60V string trimmer kit drops $50, from $250 to $198, and it is the carbon fiber shaft version, not the standard aluminum. Full kit with battery and charger included.

Back on Senix, the 20V trimmer and edger kit with a swappable head is normally $100 and is down to $40, beating the 50 percent mark.

The Senix 58V trimmer is down to $120 from $189. Note that the 58V battery is a separate system, so it will not interchange with the 20V tools.

The Senix 20V grass trimmer kit, with a 2.5Ah battery and charger, comes in at $55 from a listed $180. It has a telescoping shaft for different user heights and auto line feed, which is a lot of trimmer for the money.

Blowers on Clearance

The Senix 20V blower at $52 delivers 350 CFM. It sits at the bottom of the power range, but for clearing dry leaves off sidewalks, blowing out a shop, or drying a car, it is genuinely useful at that price.

On the higher end of the 60V max system, the Greenworks 60V blower is $169, $130 off. It is a different battery line from the 40V and 80V tools, so keep that in mind if you are standardizing on one platform.

Senix 10-Inch Cordless Chainsaw and Red Key Robot Mower

The Senix 10-inch cordless chainsaw comes as a full kit at $90, in both a top-handle and a shorter rear-handle version, and the hand tools in this line are brushless. At this price it is an easy limbing and cleanup saw to keep around.

The Red Key robot mower handles a quarter acre with a 590-foot boundary wire, and at $355 it is one of the cheapest ways to stop pushing a mower entirely.

Senix Hand Tools and the 740 Max Torque Impact Wrench

Senix hand tools are also being blown out, and most of them are brushless. The 1/2-inch 740 max torque impact wrench is $45, the 3/8-inch is $68, and beyond that there are sanders, multi-tools, drill and impact driver combo kits, an SDS rotary hammer, a snow blower at $192, and an edger full kit at $100. The 740 max torque impact wrench at $45 is the standout value here for anyone with a car, trailer, or tractor to maintain.

Overall Buying Advice

If you want one mower from this list, the Senix 163cc self-propelled at $379 is the strongest overall value given the Briggs and Stratton engine and full feature set. Budget buyers should look at the PowerSmart 140cc at $200 or the Senix 40V kit at $87.79. For Greenworks fans, the 60V self-propelled at $550 is the platform play. On trimmers, the Greenworks 60V carbon shaft kit at $198 and the Senix 20V kit at $55 cover opposite ends of the spectrum well.

This clearance pattern should spread to other retailers soon. Lowe’s tends to keep marking stock down until it sells, while Home Depot often pallets clearance stock off to wholesalers, and Walmart typically marks items down in a corner. If you see a price you like, do not assume it will still be there next week.

Conclusion

End-of-season clearance has produced some of the year’s best pricing on outdoor power equipment, with discounts at or near 50 percent across gas and cordless lines. Match the tool to your yard size and battery platform, and move quickly, because once fall stock arrives, these deals are gone.
