Skechers Go Run Ride 11 Review: A Comfort Cruiser That Punches Above Its Price
The Go Run Ride 11 pairs a Hyper Burst Ice midsole with a finally dialed-in upper, delivering one of the best daily trainer values around.
Introduction
The Skechers Go Run Ride 11 sits at the core of the Skechers performance lineup, and it is the model the brand hands to just about anyone starting out running. It is their do-everything daily trainer, and after eleven versions the formula has finally come together in a way that feels special. This update borrows a lot from the Max Road 5, a shoe that earned a place among the year’s favorites, and the result is a comfort cruiser with a midsole that is close to perfect.
Who This Shoe Is For
This is the shoe to recommend to friends or family members getting into running, because it simply works for pretty much everybody. If you want a cushioned daily trainer that cruises along without asking you to think about it, this fits the brief. It is not a lightweight speed shoe, though. Compared to the previous version it picked up almost an ounce and a half, so if you are chasing a light, fast daily trainer this is not it.

Main Strengths
The upper is the biggest turnaround here. It fits very well, laces up nicely over the foot with no puckering, sculpts into the arch instead of feeling like a tube, and offers plenty of padding in the tongue and collar with no heel lift. The one knock is that it runs a little warm, which could be a struggle in humid summer months.
The midsole is where this shoe shines. Hyper Burst Ice, the newest version of Hyper Burst, delivers a buttery, pillowy, bouncy ride that stays responsive without ever feeling soft or mushy. Stack height has grown to 38 mm in the heel and 32 mm in the forefoot with a 6 mm drop, putting it near the top of the max cushion range. Hyper Arc rocker geometry transitions smoothly through the stride, and despite the stack you still get good ground feel up front. A carbon-infused H-plate adds a subtle toe-off sensation without making the shoe rigid.

Outsole coverage is generous, with a good amount of Goodyear rubber, so durability is not a concern. The high-arched fit is a bonus if you have a high arch, and the base stays wide enough that the shoe never feels wobbly or unstable. In a size 10.5 it weighs 10.4 oz (295 g), right in the daily trainer range, and the way the foam balances makes it feel lighter and more lively than the number suggests.
Things to Consider Before Buying
The weight gain is real, so runners wanting a lightweight option should look elsewhere. The warm upper is worth considering if you run in hot, humid climates. And the brand itself carries baggage for some people, but strip away the name and this could easily wear an Adidas, Nike, or ASICS upper and be called one of the best shoes of the year.

Buying Advice
At $120, there is not a better shoe for the money. It competes with shoes in the $150 range and stands up against shoes at $160. If you can get it at its price, and it is available, it is a genuinely easy recommendation. Compared to the Max Road 5, it does not roll quite the same and feels a bit more like a block of foam underfoot, but the comfort is outstanding either way. A green light, no doubt.

Conclusion
The Go Run Ride 11 is one of those rare shoes where the value and the performance line up. A near-perfect midsole, a finally dialed upper, and a fair price make it a top daily trainer pick and a likely favorite of the year.
