Olight Arcfield Review: A Flat EDC Flashlight with a Built-In Green Laser

The Olight Arcfield pairs a 1000-lumen dual-color-temperature LED with an on-the-fly green laser pointer in a slim, pocket-friendly body.

Introduction

The Olight Arcfield is the brand’s first dual-light-source portable EDC flashlight, combining an LED that reaches 1000 lumens with a green laser pointer in one slim body. Its flat profile, simple interface, and tail-standing ability make it an easy recommendation for anyone who carries a light daily or works outdoors at night.

Design and Build

The flat body shape is the standout. The Arcfield measures 4.33 inches long, 0.98 inches thick, and weighs 3.07 ounces, which is a great size for everyday carry. A flat profile like this sits comfortably in a pocket, and the included black pocket clip keeps it secured. The review unit came in desert brown; a black version with a blue pocket clip was also visible, and it is unclear whether other colors follow. One thing worth noting: no LED emitter type or internal battery capacity is published yet.

Because the body has a wide base, it tail-stands easily, which is genuinely useful on a desk or workshop bench.

Controls and User Interface

At the head sits a single metal switch surrounded by a toggle that flips between lighting modes and laser mode. Below it, a four-stage LED battery indicator shows remaining charge, and the tail houses Olight’s proprietary magnetic charging port. A full charge took about two hours.

The UI is classic Olight and very simple: a single click turns the light on or off, a long press cycles through low, medium, and high, a long press from off starts the 1-lumen moonlight mode, and a double press from on or off jumps straight to 1000-lumen turbo. Triple click activates strobe, and a press-and-hold past moonlight locks the light out, confirmed by a small red LED.

Moonlight is included in the memory, so if you leave the light in moonlight mode it will come straight back there on the next click. Turbo is not memorized, so you always double click to reach it, which is fairly typical behavior.

The Green Laser

The green laser is the feature that makes the Arcfield special. Toggle to the laser symbol, short press, and a bright green pointer turns on. Switching between lighting and laser happens on the fly, so you can point at something far away, then drop right back to illumination without fumbling.

For anyone who works outside at night or needs to indicate distant objects, having this in the same pocket light as a 1000-lumen beam is a genuine game changer. It also doubles as an easy way to entertain pets.

Runtime and Performance

The claimed specs break down as follows. Moonlight is 1 lumen for eight days. Low is 15 lumens for 41 hours. Medium is 60 lumens for 11 hours and 50 minutes. High is 300 lumens for 126 minutes, then steps down to 60 lumens for another 34 minutes. Turbo runs 1000 lumens for four minutes, then steps to 300 lumens for a further 110 minutes. Maximum throw is 101 meters from 2560 candela. The light is IPX7 waterproof and rated for one meter of impact resistance.

Beam and Outdoor Impressions

Outdoors, the turbo beam is very wide with little in the way of a defined hot spot, spreading light evenly across a broad area. That makes it excellent for general visibility around a campsite or worksite, but if you want a tightly focused spotter beam, this is not the light for you.

In practice, high is the mode you will use most of the time, reserving turbo for brief bursts when you need the full 1000 lumens.

Buying Advice

If you prefer neutral white, choose that version: it sits between 5000 and 5700 Kelvin versus the 5700 to 6700 Kelvin cool white, though you may sacrifice some peak lumen output. Olight was also running a sale at launch with up to 40 percent off, add-ons, and coupon offers, so timing your purchase around a promotion can help.

Conclusion

The Olight Arcfield is one of the brand’s most appealing recent releases: a comfortable flat EDC body, a simple UI with memorized moonlight, tail standing, instant turbo access, and a genuinely useful green laser. If you want one flashlight that lights a wide area and points at things half a road away, this is an easy pick.
