The Best Buys From Harbor Freight's Spring Black Friday Sale

Introduction

Harbor Freight’s spring Black Friday sale runs a full week, with early access for Inside Track Club members on Monday through Thursday and general access from Friday through Monday. That structure matters: the hottest coupons historically clear shelves before the weekend, so if something on this list is the reason you’re going, going early is the safest play.

Not every line in the flyer deserves your money. This roundup focuses on the items with genuinely strong pricing or standout value, explains the trade-offs, and helps you decide which ones are worth a trip.

US General 56 in. x 22 in. Roll Cabinet

The 56 in. by 22 in. US General roll cabinet is on sale for $800 and comes in eight colors, including the newer slate grey and a clean white. Is $800 the best price this cabinet has ever seen? No. It has dipped lower, but those were rare, unexpected one-day sales that come around roughly once a year. If you have the patience to gamble on the next one, good on you. For everyone else, this is a solid, fair buy price on a cabinet with a proven reputation.

Predator 5000 Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

This fully enclosed, super quiet inverter generator packs dual fuel capability, remote start and CO secure shutdown tech into what is arguably the best all-around generator Harbor Freight sells. It has effectively replaced the old 3500 as the default RV camping generator, and it also works well as a home backup unit and a job site power source.

Pricing sits $10 below the usual bottom sale price, which makes it a genuinely good deal rather than a wait-for-better one. With camping season, outdoor events and spring storm season all arriving at once, this is the kind of purchase that pays for itself the first time the power goes out.

Badlands Apex Winch

The Badlands Apex is Harbor Freight’s top-of-the-line winch, available with your choice of synthetic rope or steel cable, on sale for $480. This is the winch that has taken over the overland and off-road recovery world. Professional recovery companies run them, seasoned builders specify them, and in heavy off-road country you see them on build after build. The old-school debates are fading fast, because this winch simply keeps working in the field.

Icon Pliers, Screwdrivers and Hammers

The standout coupon of the sale is 35% off Icon pliers, screwdrivers and hammers, in-store only. Icon is Harbor Freight’s professional automotive line, with fit and finish in the pick-up-a-nickel territory usually associated with far more expensive tool truck brands. If you have ever wanted to rebuild your entire pliers drawer in one trip, with lifetime warranties behind every piece, this is that moment.

Two honest caveats: screwdriver grip style is a matter of personal taste, and hammers are a buy-if-you-need-one item. The pliers are the real headline here, and they will sell out fast.

Pittsburgh 3 Ton Low Profile Rapid Pump Jack

At $90, the Pittsburgh 3 ton low profile floor jack with Rapid Pump is a stellar deal. It may not have the color options of the Daytona line, but it lifts low and goes high, and at this price it is one of the easiest recommendations in the entire flyer for anyone working on cars at home.

Predator 9500 Watt Super Quiet Inverter Generator

The 9500 watt super quiet inverter generator is fully enclosed and on sale for $1,800, which is less than the launch price. That is a prepandemic-level price on a generator many people consider the definitive whole-home backup unit in the lineup. If you want serious wattage without the noise of an open-frame unit, this is the one to grab while it is at this level.

US General Six Drawer Full Bank Service Cart

The six drawer full bank service cart at $500 is best understood as a 46 in. US General cabinet turned on its side. You give up a little vertical height compared to a full cabinet, but you gain a huge amount of organized storage in a much smaller floor footprint, and it locks up completely.

For professionals the appeal is obvious. For DIYers working out of a one-car garage, it may be even better: everything you use most goes vertical, magnets and accessories can cover the sides, and the big cabinet you thought you needed may never be necessary at all.

Quinn Master Set

The Quinn Master set is down 25% to $300, a significant cut for a set that has been on a lot of wish lists. The included case alone is a strong reason to consider it, with near-record pricing on the case quality in this configuration. For anyone building out a serious hand tool collection from a single purchase, this is a very strong entry point.

Overall Buying Advice

If you take one thing from this sale, make it the Icon pliers coupon and the 35% off jack stands. Both are the kind of deep, blanket discounts that historically vanish from shelves before the weekend, so plan an early trip rather than a Saturday stroll.

A few other quick notes from the flyer: the four drawer tech cart at $170 is arguably a better buy than the five drawer version thanks to its two small, two large drawer layout and flip top. The Portland pressure washer at $68 is a fine budget pick, not a premium one. The 13,000 watt tri-fuel generator is seeing its first significant sale at $1,000 off, though note it is not a fully enclosed inverter unit. The Bauer high torque impact wrench kit, with battery and charger included, lands at $140, which is hard to argue with for the power on offer. On the other hand, the Atlas outdoor power line remains pricey for its 90-day warranty, and some welding machines have cheaper capable alternatives elsewhere.

Conclusion

This sale rewards people who show up early. The 35% off Icon pliers and the jack stand coupon are the clear headline plays, while the Predator 5000 and 9500 generators, the Badlands Apex winch, the $90 Pittsburgh jack, and the $500 full bank service cart each justify a purchase on their own merits. Match the deal to what you actually need, go early, and stock up.
