Fourth of July Tool and Appliance Deals Worth a Look: 9 Picks for the Holiday Weekend

Introduction

The Fourth of July sales window is one of the strongest times of the year to buy tools and appliances, and this year’s selection includes a few genuinely strong prices. Below are nine picks that stood out, from a premium battery mower to a budget charcoal grill, along with what you get and who each one makes sense for.

Why the Fourth of July Is a Good Time to Buy

Holiday sales at major home improvement retailers tend to hit several categories at once: outdoor power equipment, cordless tool kits, grills, and big-ticket appliances. Bundling matters too. Buying two qualifying appliances can save around 100 dollars, three can save around 300, and buying six or more can save up to 1,000 dollars. If you are furnishing a home or replacing a full kitchen, buying in a bundle is the cheapest route.

Paint and paint supplies also see reliable discounts around this holiday, so it is worth adding those to the same trip if a project is on your list.

EGO Power+ Select Cut 56V Mower

EGO sits at the top of the battery-powered outdoor equipment market, and this mower is currently trending for good reason. Priced at 549 dollars, down 100 from 649, it is the pick if you want the strongest battery platform in the category. If you are shopping for a battery mower and budget allows, this is the one to prioritize.

FLEX Cordless Drill Kit

FLEX has earned respect for power and build quality, and the brand sits under the same parent company as Skilsaw and EGO. This cordless drill kit is 99 dollars after 80 dollars off, and tools bought in 2023 carry a lifetime agreement. The brand markets itself as professional grade, and this kit is an easy entry point to find out if that reputation holds for you.

DeWalt 60V FlexVolt Rear Handle Circular Saw

This rear-handle circular saw is a different class of tool. The 60V FlexVolt version is 349 dollars after 50 dollars off, and the kit includes the battery, the charger, and a bag. It is a beastly saw for framing work, and the kit configuration means you are not buying batteries separately.

DeWalt 845 Drill Kit

The DeWalt 845 kit includes the drill, a battery, the charger, and a bag for 99 dollars. Notably, this kit is not sold on Amazon, and the sale price only shows up once the item is in the cart, so make sure you add it before checkout to see the deal.

Craftsman 20V 200 CFM Leaf Blower

Craftsman is widely carried at Lowe’s, and most of the line is on sale. This 20V handheld cordless leaf blower, rated at 200 CFM and 90 MPH, is 99 dollars. As with other Craftsman tool purchases, a free gift selection is available, with options that have included a sander, a multi-tool, a rotary tool, a fan, a cordless vacuum, and a jigsaw among others. Check the gift options before you buy.

Kobalt Mower Kit

Kobalt is another big Lowe’s house brand, and this mower kit includes the mower, two batteries, and the charger for 399 dollars, saving 100. It is not EGO-level equipment, but it carries a four-star rating from roughly 400 reviews and appears likely to be self-propelled, easy to start, and low maintenance. Most Kobalt tools are also 30 to 50 percent off during this sale, and battery kits at 149 dollars come with a free tool choice such as a jigsaw, router, impact driver, or sander.

EGO 18-Inch 5-Speed Misting Fan

This 18-inch, 5-speed indoor/outdoor misting fan is 50 dollars off, and it has built genuine word-of-mouth popularity. Set the base in a bucket of water and it blows a cooling mist over you, with plenty of settings to dial in. For hot-climate patios and garages, it is a surprisingly useful piece of kit.

Backyard Cooking Picks: Blackstone and Master Forge

Two grilling deals round out the list. The Blackstone 36-inch griddle is 449 dollars at 50 off, but compare carefully: the same griddle has been seen for around 250 to 300 dollars elsewhere, so verify the price before committing. The Master Forge charcoal grill at 98 dollars is the opposite case: it is a simple budget grill, not something to compete with premium brands, but for a cheap backyard barbecue setup it does the job.

Overall Buying Advice

Appliance savings are the headline of this sale, with a GE refrigerator at 1,200 dollars off (still 3,000, so not cheap), an LG refrigerator at 1,100 dollars off, and washers in the 400-plus dollar off range. If appliances are on your list, this window rivals Black Friday, and in some years it beats it. Patio furniture, gazebos, ceiling fans, bathroom fixtures, and faucets are also discounted, many in the 25 to 50 percent off range.

A few practical checks: verify bundle rules before checkout, confirm which free-tool promotions apply to your battery kit or Craftsman purchase, and cross-check griddle-style products against other retailers since not every sale price is the lowest available.

Conclusion

The strongest values here are the EGO mower at 100 dollars off, the 99-dollar FLEX and DeWalt drill kits, the Craftsman blower with a free tool, and the appliance bundles if you are buying several at once. Match the deal to your actual needs, do a quick price comparison on the bigger items, and this holiday sale can stretch your budget considerably.
