Willow Craft Goods Original Stitchless Luxe Minimalist Wallet Review
A stitchless clamshell wallet made from full grain vegetable tanned Italian leather, held together entirely by hand-hammered rivets and made in the USA.
Introduction
Willow Craft Goods has been building its Luxe series for a few years now, and the Original Stitchless Luxe Minimalist Wallet is the latest design in that lineup. It takes the familiar Luxe Minimalist formula and removes every stitch, replacing them with small rivets hammered in by hand. The result is a wallet that looks noticeably cleaner and sits slimmer in the pocket, while keeping the same three-pocket layout the series is known for. It is also made in the USA, from full grain vegetable tanned Italian leather.
Design and Materials
The wallet is a vertical clamshell style with a top flap and a tuck closure. It is constructed from two pieces of full grain vegetable tanned Italian leather, and there is no stitching anywhere on it. Instead, the pieces are held together by rivets hammered in by hand: two on the front, four on the back, and two more on the top inside.

The smaller rivets on this new version give it a cleaner look than earlier Luxe wallets, which used noticeably larger rivets. The leather itself is high quality, and the craftsmanship is tidy throughout. All the cuts look carefully finished, with edges polished and burnished, and the interior leather is smoothed down as well. Branding is limited to a single stamp on the top flap, with nothing else anywhere on the wallet.
Dimensions and Weight
Closed, the wallet measures 3 inches by 4 inches. On the scale, it weighs 1.6 oz, which works out to about 44 grams. That makes it one of the lighter leather wallets you can carry day to day, and part of why it feels slimmer than the previous Luxe Minimalist version despite sharing the same core layout.
Capacity and Everyday Function
There are three pockets in total. On the back there is a quick access card pocket for your most used card, and you can also store folded bills there. Inside, under the flap, there is a larger pocket for the bulk of your cards and cash, plus another credit card pocket in front of it. The openings are generous, so pulling a card out and sliding it back in is easy, and squeezing the main pocket lets you lift out everything at once if you prefer the fan method.

As a practical note for cash carry: the standard version cannot hold American dollar bills or any bills 70 mm wide or under folded in half in the back quick access pocket. If you carry foreign currency wider than that, you would need to fold bills into quarters or thirds, or upgrade to the wider version Willow Craft Goods offers for that purpose. If you live in the United States and fold your bills in half, the standard version is the right choice.
Real-World Carrying Test
For day-to-day carry, seven cards and 10 bills worked perfectly. Five cards and folded bills went into the main pocket, an ID sat in the front pocket, and the most used card lived in the back quick access pocket. There was still visible room left in the main pocket even with all of that loaded.
To find the limit, the wallet was pushed further. Nine cards and 15 bills is about the maximum that still remains usable. Any more cards and things started getting tight, with cards sticking and becoming harder to pull out. Leather stretches over time, so the capacity may loosen up slightly with age, but nine cards and 15 bills is a fair working maximum for a new wallet. If you carry fewer cards, you can simply swap a few out for extra bills and mix and match however you like.
How It Compares to the Stitched Version
If you are familiar with any previous Luxe Minimalist wallet, this one will feel instantly familiar. The overall shape, the flap and tuck closure, and the three-pocket layout all carry over, and you can tell at a glance that it belongs to the same family.

The main difference is visual. The stitchless construction with smaller rivets looks cleaner and slimmer than the stitched version. Functionally, the two are the same; it comes down purely to looks and aesthetics.
Buying Advice
There is a price point worth knowing about here: the stitchless version is significantly less expensive than the stitched Luxe Minimalist wallet, because it takes less work to produce. Less labor means a lower price, and that makes this new version arguably the best value in the Luxe lineup. Prices change often, so it is worth checking current listings before you buy.

This wallet is an easy recommendation for anyone who wants a minimalist leather wallet with a clean aesthetic, a slim pocket profile, and genuine handmade craftsmanship. If you carry more than nine cards regularly, look at a larger format instead; if you carry foreign bills wider than 70 mm, consider the wider version.
Conclusion
The Original Stitchless Luxe Minimalist Wallet is the favorite version of the Luxe Minimalist line so far. The hand-hammered rivet construction looks cleaner, the wallet feels slimmer, the leather and finishing are excellent, and it costs less than the stitched model. Willow Craft Goods has a clear winner on its hands here, and the brand has more releases planned for next year, so it is a good time to keep an eye on what comes next.
