Introduction

Trayvax has become one of the most recognizable names in everyday carry wallets, and for good reason: every wallet the company makes is produced in the USA and backed by a 65-year heirloom warranty. That combination of domestic manufacturing and long-term coverage is rare at any price point.

This ranking covers every Trayvax EDC wallet, from the most affordable minimal option to the flagship design. Two wallets are excluded from consideration: the Explorer passport wallet, which is really a travel wallet, and the Renegade zipper wallet, which functions more as a clutch. What remains is a lineup of genuinely carry-focused designs, and each one earns its place for a different reason. Here is how they stack up, from last place to first.

#7 Trayvax Venture Bifold

The Venture Bifold is the newest EDC wallet in the lineup, and the build quality is genuinely impressive. The frame is CNC-machined from 6061 T6 aluminum, the leather is 3 oz oil-tanned horse leather, and everything is hand saddle-stitched with heavy-duty nylon thread. It comes in brown or black, and the neodymium magnetic clasp holds the bifold together neatly.

So why last place? Functionality. The wallet opens to a dedicated cash compartment, an extra card slot, and a quick-access spot for your most-used card, but the whole arrangement never quite clicks in daily use. At $115 it is also the second most expensive wallet Trayvax makes, which raises the expectations even higher. This is a well-made wallet that plenty of people love, but the everyday experience does not justify the premium for this ranking.

#6 Trayvax Summit and Armored Summit

The Summit earns its spot by being the most affordable wallet in the entire Trayvax lineup at just $24.99. It is an extremely minimal design: up to seven cards and five bills, an integrated money clip on the back, an attachment point built into the bottom stainless steel frame, and adjustable nylon webbing with a buckle so it can hold as few as one card if that is all you need.

The Armored Summit is the same wallet with a stainless steel plate added, which brings a bottle opener, RFID protection, and a little extra protection for your cards, for $36.99. If you want a no-nonsense, highly functional minimal wallet, you cannot go wrong with either version.

#5 Trayvax Summit Notebook

The Summit Notebook is simply the Summit wallet with a leather notebook sleeve attached via the adjustable nylon webbing. It carries the same seven cards and five bills, but adds a sleeve for a rugged water-resistant style notebook and a pen pocket sized for a Fisher Space Pen bullet.

The leather is the same 3 oz oil-tanned horse leather as the Venture Bifold and feels excellent. The core functionality is identical to the Summit, but the addition of a notepad you can jot on at any moment makes this a genuinely practical hybrid for people who still like pen and paper.

#4 Trayvax Ascent

The Ascent is a beloved design: three pockets, everything saddle-stitched to a stainless steel frame, with black oxide coated brass rivets at the bottom and the same heavy-duty nylon thread used across the lineup. The functionality is excellent, particularly the nylon pull tab at the back that makes retrieving cards easy.

The one small negative is capacity. Trayvax says it holds up to seven cards and five bills, but in real use it fits closer to five cards and about five bills. That tight capacity is the main reason it does not see more pocket time for heavier carriers. If you carry light, though, the Ascent is a fantastic choice and one of the most satisfying designs in the lineup.

#3 Trayvax OG 2.0

The OG 2.0 is the capacity workhorse of this list. With a stainless steel frame and a G10 top plate, it holds up to 15 cards in the main area and up to 10 bills under the integrated money clip. It also has an attachment point for lanyards or key rings, an integrated pry bar, and a clasp that buttons everything up securely once your cards are loaded.

It is also highly customizable: the paracord can be swapped out for a color that suits your setup, and small touches like a brass bead on the lanyard make it feel personal. If you carry a lot of cards and cash but still want a compact metal wallet, the OG 2.0 is the one to beat.

#2 Trayvax Element

The Element holds a special place as a long-time favorite, and it is one of those wallets that is genuinely hard to put anywhere but the top of a ranking like this. The design pairs a stainless steel frame with top grain oil tan leather, attached with a rivet and paracord running through the frame, plus an attachment point built into the frame.

It holds up to 10 credit cards and up to five bills in its integrated money clip. Fold the leather over and your bills are protected, with a clasp holding everything together neatly, and cards or cash can even slip under the leather strap if you need extra room. There is also a bottle cap opener, as with most Trayvax designs. It is an absolutely fantastic wallet that is easy to recommend.

#1 Trayvax Contour and Unholy Contour

No surprise here: the Contour takes the top spot. It holds up to 13 cards and 10 bills, and the frame is CNC-machined from stainless steel, brass, or titanium, with top grain oil tan leather attached by folding the leather over the frame and screwing on a cover plate.

That screw-mounted design is what makes the Contour special. Want to add or remove cards? Loosen the screws and adjust the leather position accordingly. It also has an attachment point and a bottle opener on the front. As a whole wallet, the Contour is the best Trayvax makes; among individual material options, titanium would rank first, followed by brass, then the black frame, then raw stainless steel.

Freshly released alongside this ranking is the Unholy Contour, which is the same wallet minus the attachment point and the front bottle opener. Since the attachment point is one of the most common complaints about the standard Contour, this cleaner version is worth a look if you always wanted a Contour without those extras.

Conclusion

Every wallet in this ranking is made in the USA and carries a 65-year heirloom warranty, so the real question is which design matches your carry style. Ultra-minimal carriers should look at the Summit or Armored Summit. Notebook users get a unique hybrid with the Summit Notebook. The Ascent rewards light carriers, the OG 2.0 handles big loads, and the Element remains one of the best all-rounders in the category. But for sheer design flexibility, capacity, and materials, the Contour stands alone at number one, and the new Unholy Contour finally gives purists the same wallet without the extras.
