Roborock Q Revo Pro Review: Strong Cleaning Performance With Minor Navigation Quirks
The Roborock Q Revo Pro delivers excellent debris pickup and low-maintenance ownership, though first-time setup and edge cleaning need some patience.
Introduction
The Roborock Q Revo Pro is one of the latest models in the Q Revo series, a lineup that currently includes four variants with different cleaning features, user functionality, and cost. This model sits alongside the baseline Q Revo and aims to balance strong cleaning performance with low-maintenance ownership.
In testing, the Q Revo Pro impressed with excellent debris pickup across all surfaces, hassle-free self-maintenance, and a friendly app that allows for extensive cleaning customization. However, first-time setup, mapping, and edge cleaning performance did present some issues. These are not deal breakers, and the Q Revo Pro remains an excellent choice for a robot vacuum, but they are worth knowing about before you buy.
Cleaning Performance
The cleaning performance of the Q Revo Pro was excellent, though it was affected by edge cleaning results. In the debris test, the Q Revo Pro removed 93.6% of debris by weight, which is 1.0% more than the average of 92.6% across all debris tests. Its best results came on hardwood flooring and in the crevice cleaning test, where it cleaned up nearly all debris and earned a perfect score.

During the long hair and pet hair tests, the Q Revo Pro performed well with no major issues. The long hair test showed only a small amount of hair wrapped around the roller and side brush, which is a common occurrence even among top performers.
Edge Cleaning
The edge cleaning test was mediocre at best for the Q Revo Pro. It removed 38.0% of debris by weight, which is 37% less than the average of 75.0% across all edge cleaning tests. The most probable reason for this poor performance appears to be the navigation system having trouble registering the edge of the testing area. This issue may be remedied in future software updates, but it is something to keep in mind if edge cleaning is a priority for your home.
Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance
In terms of navigation, the Q Revo Pro had good overall performance. It comes with a laser-based sensor that helps create a 3D mapping of the surrounding area. The robot is also outfitted with several sensors that help detect if it is near a ledge or if it is caught on something.

In obstacle avoidance tests, the Q Revo Pro only had partial touches on a pair of shoes and a cord. It detected the objects but was not able to navigate around them completely. Again, issues related to navigation may be improved or solved with future software updates, but this level of performance is still pretty good across the board.
Build Quality and Design
The build quality of the Q Revo Pro is excellent and on par with other Roborock vacuums that have been tested. Both the base station and the robot are constructed out of plastic and have a sturdy feel to them. The Q Revo Pro is available in white or black configurations to match your decor.

When compared against other robot vacuum mop combos, nothing stands out in the design or construction as especially bad or especially amazing. Overall, it is still a solid robot with good build quality.
Usability and App Experience
Overall usability for the Q Revo Pro is fantastic. A new feature designed to help the robot get better cleaning is the swinging mopping pad. On hard surfaces, the mopping pad would occasionally extend to get a better clean.
Setup took a bit longer on the Q Revo Pro. Removing it from the box and getting it plugged in was easy and took about 5 minutes. The issues came with setting up the app connection and getting the first mapping completed. It took several attempts to get the robot to finish its first mapping, often stopping halfway through and claiming it was stuck or providing an incomplete map and failing to save it. Eventually, the robot was functioning with proper mapping and could be customized to preferred settings.
Connecting the robot to the Roborock app is a must. It controls all the features and user settings needed to make the Q Revo Pro perform at its best, including adjustable suction modes, mopping settings, and cleaning schedules.
Maintenance and Running Costs
The Q Revo Pro has an estimated yearly maintenance cost of $32. The only major maintenance item you will need to purchase is the base station debris bag. All other components are washable or otherwise should not need to be replaced very often.
The base station comes with dynamic hot water mop cleaning, auto debris emptying, and two large clean and dirty water tanks to keep the mopping feature semi-autonomous.
Noise Levels
In the noise test, the Q Revo Pro generated 66.3 dB of noise on max power mode. This is 2.4 dB lower than the average of 68.7 dB across all noise tests. When switching between suction modes, the change was not dramatic, but a slight difference in decibels was noticeable with each mode. Since testing was done on hardwood carpet, you may hear a larger change in volume when used on hard surface flooring.

Buying Advice
Roborock is one of the most well-established brands in the robot vacuum mop combo market, with some truly exceptional robots that have been tested previously. While the Q Revo Pro had some minor issues with navigation and edge cleaning, it is still a great robot for both the price and cleaning performance.
Its debris collection, maintenance-free operation, and user preference customizations make it a serious contender for anyone looking for a mid-tier priced robot. If you can tolerate a slightly longer setup process and do not require perfect edge cleaning, the Q Revo Pro offers strong value for daily cleaning.
Conclusion
The Roborock Q Revo Pro is a capable robot vacuum and mop combo that excels at debris pickup, offers low-maintenance ownership, and provides a highly customizable app experience. The edge cleaning shortfall and setup hiccups are worth noting, but they do not overshadow the overall performance. For most households, the Q Revo Pro is a solid choice that balances cleaning power with convenience.
