We bought one and put it through a range of tests, and it ranked very high on our top 10 hard floor cleaners list.

This cordless hard floor cleaner works like a regular vacuum except it is also washing the floor at the same time. You fill the clean water tank with water and the included solution, turn it on, and vacuum back and forth as usual. The soft roller is constantly sprayed with clean water, and a squeegee pulls the dirty water into the dirty water tank.

It can handle dry debris while mopping, so it truly functions as a vacuum and a mop at the same time. It can go over rugs in a pinch, but it is not recommended for serious rug cleaning since it puts down some water and does not provide a deep clean. When you are finished, it has a self-cleaning cycle, but you will still need to dump and rinse the dirty tank afterward.

Main Strengths

The biggest strength of the F25 Ultra is what Roborock calls its vapor flow and wave flow system. These are two distinct high-temperature cleaning modes that no other cordless hard floor cleaner currently offers together in one machine.

Vapor flow is the steam mode. It heats water to around 356 degrees Fahrenheit internally and releases steam through six outlets directed at the floor surface. That steam loosens and lifts dried-on messes, stubborn stains, and even bacteria without needing to rely on cleaning solution.

Wave flow is the hot water mode. It heats water to 187 degrees Fahrenheit and pushes it through 32 nozzles, saturating the roller evenly with hot water. This mode is specifically designed for greasy buildup in kitchens and dining rooms where you want the dissolving power of heat rather than steam.

In our stain removal testing, the F25 Ultra scored 141 points in auto mode, which is above our running average of 140 points. We also measured how much water is left behind, and the F25 Ultra did very well, leaving only 0.8 grams compared to the 1 gram average.

Combining the stain score and the water penalty score into one overall mopping performance score, the F25 Ultra came in at 151.5 points, which is well above the average of 115 points across all the hard floor cleaners we have tested.

Interestingly, it actually performed best in auto mode for our particular stain removal methodology. Steam and hot water did not do terrible, but neither one pulled ahead the way you might expect. Our recommendation is to use auto mode for most everyday cleaning and save steam or hot water for specific situations where those modes genuinely shine. Steam is best for stubborn dried-on messes or sanitizing, and hot water is best for greasy kitchen floors.

Another big strength is its self-cleaning system. Most hard floor cleaners have some kind of self-clean cycle, but the F25 Ultra goes much further. It uses 356-degree steam and 194-degree hot water to deep clean the roller, and then blows 203-degree hot air to dry it out afterward in about 5 minutes. That means no dampness, no odors, and significantly less bacterial buildup compared to older style hard floor cleaners.

The dirty water tank also has a detachable solid-liquid separation module, basically a mesh strainer that catches hair, crumbs, and debris so the liquid drains away cleanly. It makes emptying the tank noticeably less unpleasant.

It is also one of the easiest machines to maneuver in our entire lineup. That is thanks to what Roborock calls SlideTech 2.0, an AI-assisted wheel system that uses dual brushless motors to independently control each wheel, giving it a near instant response to your movements.

Combined with a 70-degree swivel and a lowered water tank that keeps the center of gravity close to the floor, it feels remarkably easy to steer around furniture and tight corners. The F25 Ultra also lays fully flat to reach under furniture as low as 4.9 inches off the ground. That used to be a problem on older machines because tilting them would cause the dirty water tank to spill, but that has been solved here.

It also has an app-based remote control feature that lets you steer the machine under beds or sofas via your phone, a genuinely useful feature for spaces you just cannot reach by hand.

In terms of features, the F25 Ultra has four cleaning modes: auto, sponge, steam, and hot water. Auto mode uses Roborock’s Dirt Tech smart sensor, which detects dirt levels in real time and automatically adjusts suction and roller speed accordingly. There is also an auto detergent dispenser that doses cleaning solution so you do not have to measure or mix anything manually.

Worth noting, steam mode and hot water mode draw significantly more power, dropping runtime to approximately 15 to 25 minutes depending on the mode. So, for cleaning your entire home, auto mode is the practical choice.

Things to Consider Before Buying

The F25 Ultra is heavy. It weighs 5,506 grams, which is about 12.1 pounds, noticeably above the average of around 4,670 grams across the hard floor cleaners we have tested. It is not surprising given the steam heater and added hardware, and the SlideTech 2.0 wheel system does offset a lot of it in practice, but it is still worth knowing going in.

In our suction testing, measured directly at the floor head on maximum power, the F25 Ultra scored 1.05 kPa, which is slightly below the average of 1.17 kPa of all the hard floor cleaners we have tested. It did not seem to hurt its overall cleaning performance in our tests, but it is worth mentioning.
