EGO's 2022 Lawn Care Lineup: Six Cordless Tools That Stood Out
A closer look at six EGO 56V cordless releases, from a 52-inch zero turn mower to a battery-powered misting fan, with the specs and trade-offs that matter.
Introduction
EGO’s 56V line has grown well beyond a single mower and trimmer, and this generation of releases shows the platform flexing in every direction: a bigger zero turn, easier trimmer line handling, more blower force, a refined chainsaw, a surprisingly capable work light, and even a cordless misting fan. Here is what each one brings to the table and who it makes sense for.
EGO 52-inch Zero Turn Lawn Mower ZT
The most obvious change on the latest EGO zero turn is the larger 52-inch fabricated deck, up from 42 inches on the original. The extra width is welcome for larger lawns, and the fabricated deck construction is a durability step up as well.
Underneath, five independent brushless motors draw from higher-capacity 12Ah batteries to produce the equivalent of 25 horsepower, a boost from the 42-inch model’s 22 horsepower equivalency. With a full load-out of the six battery packs included in the kit, that is 72 amp hours of 56V power on board, and EGO’s data points to mowing up to four acres on a charge, double the range of the original ZT. It was slated for a mid-March 2022 release with a kit price of $6,999.

If your property has outgrown a 42-inch deck, this is the EGO machine aimed squarely at you.
EGO String Trimmer with Line IQ
The headline feature here is Line IQ, which automatically feeds trimmer line to keep the cutting swath at 16 inches without bumping the head as you work. Paired with the Power Load design, loading line is refreshingly simple: pull new line through the head to its midpoint, press the Power Load button, and the motor winds it in for you.
The telescoping carbon fiber shaft adds strength while reducing overall weight, and the length adjustment lets you dial in a comfortable fit. It launched as a kit with a 4Ah battery and charger for $299.

For anyone who has spent an afternoon fighting a bump-feed head, this combination of automatic feed and easy loading is the main reason to look closely.
EGO Leaf Blower
Performance is the story with EGO’s newest blower. Using the standard trigger settings and cruise control dial, the brushless motor produces between 260 and 580 CFM, and the turbo button unlocks its full output. Airspeed tops out at 200 miles per hour with the tapered nozzle included in the box, translating to a claimed 26 Newtons of blowing force. Even against high-end professional handheld blowers, that is a lot of power.
Run times are managed sensibly given the output: EGO figures up to 150 minutes on low with a 5Ah battery, or about 15 minutes in turbo. It was priced at $299 as a kit with a 5Ah battery and charger.

Big airflow with cordless convenience makes this one worth a look if clearing heavy leaf fall is a regular job.
EGO 16-inch Chainsaw
This is not EGO’s first 16-inch saw, and the original remains one of the more likeable battery-powered chainsaws in its class. The bar size stays the same, but the brushless motor is now capable of power equivalent to a 40cc gas engine, with chain speeds up to 20 meters per second.
Two practical upgrades stand out. The saw gains metal bucking spikes, replacing the plastic nubs of the original and grabbing wood much more effectively, and the oil reservoir moves to a flip-top cap alongside EGO’s auto-chain tensioning knob. The 16-inch class is a sweet spot for homeowners handling seasonal tree maintenance and storm cleanup. Official pricing had not been announced, with a spring 2022 launch expected.
EGO 10,000-Lumen Work Light
Some brands tiptoe into the lighting category; EGO went big with 10,000 lumens of LED output right away. One thoughtful design choice is the use of diffusers to soften the light. They limit throw distance somewhat, but they make the light much easier on the eyes when the panels sit in your field of vision.
The physical design is equally considered: four panels with three pivot points let you fold them for protected transport, angle them for direct light exactly where you want it, or arrange them for 360-degree coverage. It is a genuinely versatile hybrid of work light and area light, launching in spring 2022 at a bare tool price of $149.99.
EGO Battery-Powered Misting Fan
The fact that EGO offers a battery-powered fan at all is notable on its own, but this is far more than a battery spinning some blades. Five sleek blades deliver up to 5,000 CFM at 20 miles per hour, an unusually high airflow figure for a cordless fan, and five speed settings let you dial in how much of that air you need.
There are also two misting modes that use the four nozzles spread around the frame, fed either by the included siphon hose or by attaching a garden hose as a water source. Wheels and a telescoping handle make it easy to reposition. It was slated for spring 2022 at $249.99 as a bare tool.

For hot patio days, outdoor work sites, or events, it fills a niche almost no other cordless brand was covering.
Buying Advice
If you are already invested in EGO’s 56V batteries, most of these bare tool options become much better value. Match the tool to the job: the zero turn for large properties, the trimmer and blower for weekly maintenance, the chainsaw for seasonal cleanup, and the light and fan for worksite and patio comfort.
Conclusion
This generation of EGO releases shows a platform maturing on all fronts: more deck, smarter line feeding, stronger airflow, better saw hardware, and entirely new product categories. Whichever piece fits your property, the shared battery system is what ties the lineup together and makes each addition easier to justify.
