Two New Civivi Knives Worth a Look: Incendiary and Baby Banter

Civivi's recent releases include two standouts: the Damascus-bladed Incendiary and the tried-and-true Baby Banter. Here is what each does well.

Introduction

Civivi has released a handful of new knives recently, and two of them stand out for everyday carry: the Civivi Incendiary and the long-running Baby Banter. Both arrived here in white G10 with Damascus blades, and both earned real carry time before writing this. They are quite different knives in practice, so this guide breaks down where each one shines and what to check before picking one up.

Civivi Incendiary: White G10 and Damascus

The Incendiary comes in this white G10 handle version paired with a Damascus blade, and there are three other variants: a black blade with black handle, a green handle with a black blade, and a black handle with a satin-finish blade. All are spear points, and all feature a large fuller that sits down into the handle, which means you cannot use it as a flicking point the way you can on knives with a freestanding notch.

The white G10 is the surprising favorite here. It adds character compared with the usual all-black knives, and since G10 does not absorb anything, it cleans up easily even after the handle starts to show a bit of honest carry grime. It just looks fun and different.

Blade and Grinding: Why It Slices So Well

The spear point with a full belly and a hint of drop point makes this feel like a friendly office-carry knife rather than a stabbing instrument. The constant curve toward the tip means no big surprises, and it actually makes the Incendiary a genuinely slicey knife. The stout corner up front handles the utility work where most cutting tasks happen, while the rest of the blade gives you a nice slice motion.

The Damascus blades deserve a note on sharpness. They take on an exceptionally keen edge and hone back up quickly, though they do go out of hone a little faster than some super steels. A few strokes on a strop and they are ready to go again.

Action and Lockup: Flipper and Button Lock

Civivi has clearly nailed the detent on these. The Incendiary’s flipper fires out on caged ceramic bearings with very little effort, helped by good leverage at the pivot and excellent jimping that gives just enough grip for a tiny flick. Closing it manually or pressing the button to release blade tension lets you use it like a traditional pocket knife if flipping makes people around you nervous.

The Baby Banter takes a different approach with a push button lock. A fairly large chunk pops into play when locked, giving a solid lockup that sits only slightly extended above the handle, so it will not release the blade even if pressed flat. The Baby Banter also has a reversible pocket clip for tip-up carry, stainless steel hardware, and stainless liners with a satin finish. Its Damascus blade is beautiful and very sharp, and the action is silky smooth.

Which One Should You Buy?

The Incendiary sells for about $110 retail in the Damascus version, while the other variants run closer to $75, so you are paying mainly for the Damascus. The Baby Banter has been out for a long time and remains a sweet little knife that is easy to recommend, especially if you prefer a push button lock over reaching inside for a liner lock.

If you want something with a bit more character and a striking blade, the Incendiary in white G10 and Damascus is hard to beat. If you want a proven compact carry with a handy button lock, the Baby Banter is the safer bet.

Conclusion

Civivi has done strong work with both knives. The Incendiary brings a fun white handle, a striking Damascus spear point, and buttery flipper action, while the Baby Banter stays a reliable favorite with its push button lock and reversible clip. Whichever way you lean, both are easy knives to carry and enjoy daily.
