7 Tool Deals Worth a Look This Month: Compressors, Sockets, Impact Wrenches and More

Introduction

Tool aisles keep moving, and a fresh round of discounts has landed across hand tools and power tools alike. This roundup collects seven items that stand out right now: an unusually cheap pancake compressor, a Klein socket set, Kobalt impact wrenches already discounted, two new DeWalt arrivals, a budget-friendly jigsaw that punches above its price, and a Craftsman ratchet set with a member deal attached. Here is what each one offers, and who it actually makes sense for.

Project Source 3-Gallon Pancake Air Compressor

At $50 for a 3-gallon pancake air compressor, this is the kind of price that turns heads. That figure undercuts typical budget retailers, which makes it one of the most aggressive deals currently on the floor. The trade-off is transparency: there is no obvious warranty information on the packaging, which is the main question to resolve before buying. For light-duty tasks like inflation, brad nails, or occasional spray work, it is hard to argue with the price. Just do not expect long-term support paperwork to back it up.

Klein Tools 7-Piece Impact Socket Set

Klein has been expanding its presence beyond electrical hand tools, and its 7-piece impact socket set is one of the more interesting arrivals. The notable limitation is that it is only available in SAE sizes, not metric. That makes sense for certain trades that work predominantly in SAE, but it narrows the audience. If your fasteners are metric, this one is an easy pass; if your work lives in fractional sizes, it is a solid addition from a brand known for build quality.

Kobalt Half-Inch Impact Wrench

Kobalt’s newer impact wrench lineup is already seeing discounts, with the half-inch and three-eighths models each marked down by $20. That is a quick turnaround for a fresh release, and it makes the half-inch version particularly appealing for automotive work on a budget. On the flip side, older-stock die grinders and three-eighths impact wrenches are already hitting clearance at half off, so clearance shoppers have options too. Compared directly with budget competitors, though, Kobalt’s die grinder pricing is not quite as aggressive, so existing Kobalt battery owners get the most value here.

DeWalt Hydraulic Impact Driver

Hydraulic impact technology has been rare territory. Only a small handful of brands have offered it, and few have invested in improving it, so a new DeWalt hydraulic impact driver is genuinely notable news. The catch is price: at around $200 bare, it is not cheap, and a kit with batteries would be an easier sell. Still, for drivers who want the quieter fastening action and reduced cam-out that hydraulic designs bring, this is one of the few options on the market worth watching.

DeWalt Grabo Suction Lifter

DeWalt has partnered with Grabo to release a DeWalt-branded version of the popular suction lifter, a tool that has built a reputation for impressive holding power on smooth, non-porous surfaces like glass, sheet metal, and finished board. The downside is the price, which lands at about $250, more than some hoped for. If you regularly handle large smooth panels solo, though, the grabbing force of this category speaks for itself.

Metabo HPT Jigsaw

The Metabo HPT jigsaw is currently down to $80, and it has earned a reputation as a tool that simply does everything right. It is powerful, comfortable to use, and carries a good warranty. It may not top every jigsaw comparison available, but at this price it is very hard to beat. It has already proven itself on real job-site work, running smooth and reliable. If you need a dependable jigsaw for occasional projects without overspending, this remains the default recommendation.

Craftsman V-Series Ratchet

A member deal is currently knocking $15 off the Craftsman 7-piece ratchet and wrench set, bringing it down to roughly $30. The V-Series ratchets themselves are regarded as decent tools, though a note of caution: these are standard ratchets rather than flex-head versions, which limits their reach in tight spaces. The member pricing itself is worth watching, as store membership programs are becoming a more prominent part of how these deals are advertised, and that trend may shape future savings.

Buying Advice

If you want the lowest-risk value pick, the Metabo HPT jigsaw at $80 is the safest bet of the group, combining performance, comfort, and warranty support. The $50 pancake compressor is tempting but hinges on your comfort with unclear warranty terms. Kobalt impact wrench buyers should move while the $20 discount holds. DeWalt’s two new arrivals suit specialists: the hydraulic impact driver for quiet fastening, the suction lifter for panel handling. And if metric fasteners dominate your work, skip the Klein socket set.

Conclusion

This batch of deals covers a wide range of needs, from a $50 compressor experiment to premium DeWalt innovations. Match the tool to the job, check warranty terms where they are unclear, and the value here is real.
