Best Amazon Deals Right Now: Standout Tool and Home Picks

Introduction

Amazon’s current sale event has a handful of genuinely strong discounts, but not everything labeled a deal is actually a saving. Some brands bump prices 20% and then advertise 20% off, which means you save nothing. It is worth checking a price tracking site before buying to confirm you are getting a real discount.

With that in mind, this roundup covers the picks that look like genuine value right now, including some of the lowest prices we have seen on Vitamix blenders, a solid DeWalt combo kit, a bargain tablet, and a full range of Metabo HPT cordless tools that are currently the standout of the whole event.

How We Picked These Deals

The focus here is simple: either a product is at or near its lowest tracked price, or the bundle includes enough extras to make the total package worthwhile. Kitchen gear and shop tools both made the cut, because a good sale does not care which aisle it comes from.

One quick tip: Home Depot is also running daily deals, mostly on Milwaukee tools, so if you are shopping this season it pays to compare across retailers. Competitive retailers often match or beat each other during these events.

Vitamix 5200 and Explorian: Rare Blender Discounts

Vitamix blenders rarely go on sale, which makes this window unusual. The 5200 is down to around $300, and for context, a similar model regularly sells well over $600. Vitamix has a strong reputation for durability, and these older lower-end models are still fantastic machines that are expected to last a very long time.

The Explorian is the headline pick here, dropping under $200. If you need a new blender and want one that will last for years of daily use, this is one of the better chances you will get.

DeWalt Mid-Torque and 3/8-Inch Impact Combo Kit

This DeWalt bundle is fairly unique to Amazon and has not been widely seen elsewhere. For $339 (listed around $340) you get a mid-torque impact wrench, a 3/8-inch impact driver, one of the newer fast chargers, and a 5Ah battery. It is a solid package if you genuinely need both tools plus the charger and another battery.

One honest caveat: price history shows the kit has been lower before, dipping to around $279 earlier in 2022. So this is an okay deal rather than an amazing one. If you need exactly what is in the box, it holds up well; if you only need one of the two tools, you may find better value elsewhere.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus: A Cheap Shop Tablet That Holds Up

Amazon’s Fire tablets are heavily discounted during the event, and there is an added trade-in offer: trading in an older Fire tablet earns a $30 gift card plus 20% off a new tablet purchase. One shopper traded an older Fire HD 10 and picked up the Fire HD 8 Plus for around $29 out of pocket.

These tablets are well suited to quick jobs around the garage or shop: looking up information, pulling up a how-to video, or checking something online without pulling out your phone. They have held up well over years of use and consistently sell at very low prices, especially with trade-in.

Metabo HPT: The Biggest Winner of the Event

Metabo HPT is arguably the biggest winner of this sale, with some of the lowest prices seen on its cordless lineup. Many tools also qualify for a buy-a-tool, get-a-free-battery rebate, which stacks serious extra value on top of the discounts. Here are three picks worth a close look.

Metabo HPT 18V Cordless Radio

The 18V cordless radio is down to $67, and it includes the AC adapter so you can run it without a battery at all. For shop or job-site audio on a budget, that is a very complete package.

Metabo HPT Screwdriver Kit

The screwdriver kit has dropped to $50, and the 4Ah multi-volt battery is down to $78, which is an excellent price on its own. Both are among the lowest prices seen in quite a while.

Metabo HPT Jigsaw: Lowest Price We Have Seen

The jigsaw is the standout individual deal: $67, with a lifetime warranty, and it qualifies for the free battery rebate. Price tracking shows the previous lowest price on this tool was $78, so this is genuinely the cheapest it has been anywhere.

Other Metabo HPT discounts worth noting: the mid-torque sits at $169, just $5 above its lowest price, several drill and impact kits are marked down significantly, the heat gun and orbital sander are at low prices too (the sander at $80 versus its usual $99 range). On the current event, no other brand’s cordless deals have matched Metabo HPT so far.

Other Deals Worth Browsing

Beyond the headline picks, there are several solid accessory and hand tool deals running during the event. Bosch bits and blades are on sale, and the brand’s SDS chisels, hammer drill bits, and 40- and 45-piece impact bit sets are among the best values available. Many users consider Bosch impact bits among the best on the market, with Makita’s XPS line a close second.

There are also deals on socket sets and hand tools. Nice offers include a five-piece impact socket adapter set at 24% off for around $8, and a 44-piece 3/8-inch drive impact socket set near its all-time low of about $51, complete with a ratchet, extensions, and swivel sockets. GearWrench, Sunex, and Ares also have broad sitewide discounts, including a master bit set for $49. If you have been waiting to fill gaps in a socket or bit collection, this is a good time to do it.

Overall Buying Advice

If you are only buying one thing from this event, Metabo HPT offers the strongest combination of price cuts and rebate value right now. For the kitchen, the Vitamix Explorian under $200 is a rare opportunity on a blender known to last for years. The Fire HD 8 Plus with trade-in is a nearly free shop companion, while the DeWalt combo kit makes sense mainly if you need the full bundle.

And one last reminder: verify prices with a tracking tool before checkout, since not every advertised discount reflects a true saving.

Conclusion

This event has a few genuine standouts among the noise. Vitamix blenders at their lowest prices in a long time, a DeWalt combo kit with useful extras, a nearly free tablet after trade-in, and Metabo HPT’s across-the-board discounts make this a good moment to buy, provided you confirm each price is a real one.
